Accessibility statement
Help4Housing Sàrl, publisher of scopemy.city, is committed to making its website accessible to everyone, in line with the Swiss standard eCH-0059 and the international WCAG guidelines.
This accessibility statement applies to scopemy.city (public pages, reporting form, citizen account). It does not cover the WhatsApp application itself, published by Meta.
Compliance status
The website is partially compliant with the eCH-0059 standard (version 3.0), which adopts WCAG 2.1 level AA, because of the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.
No external audit has been carried out yet. Until it has, we do not publish a compliance rate: a rate based only on our internal review would not be reliable enough.
Results of the internal review
Last internal review: 28.09.2026, by the development team, covering the home page, the reporting form, report pages, the account and login pages and the information pages.
What was checked and fixed:
- contrast of the whole colour palette measured with a tool (minimum ratio 4.5:1 for text, 3:1 for graphical elements);
- minimum text size of 12 px;
- skip link to the main content, full keyboard navigation, visible focus;
- language of each page and of each link in the language switcher declared (
lang,hreflang); - form fields with a label, required fields indicated in text, error messages linked to their field;
- list table with sort headers as buttons and the sort state announced (
aria-sort); - clickable images turned into buttons, decorative icons hidden from screen readers;
- complete alternative to the map: filterable list, address search and location entry without the map when reporting.
Technologies used: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, WAI-ARIA. The internal review covered the code and keyboard navigation. Tests with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, TalkBack) and with people with disabilities will be carried out during the external audit.
Non-accessible content
Known non-compliances
- The interactive map (Leaflet) cannot be fully navigated with the keyboard and its markers are not all announced by screen readers. The “Table” view and the address search give access to the same information.
- Photos uploaded by citizens only have a generic text alternative (category and address of the report): their content is not described.
- The map's time slider and status messages (vote recorded, filter applied) have not yet been checked with screen readers.
- The administration interface (moderation, photo blurring editor) is only available in French, and the canvas-based blurring editor cannot be used without a mouse or touch screen.
Exemptions for disproportionate burden
None at present.
Content not subject to accessibility requirements
- OpenStreetMap base maps, provided by a third party.
- Photos and descriptions published by citizens (third-party content, published after moderation).
- The WhatsApp application, published by Meta, used as an additional reporting channel.
